Kuuntele Spotifysta: http://bit.ly/MagicMikeSpotify IKINÄ pääsee kesällä esittämään live-osaamistaan muun muassa Provinssissa ja Tuskan jatkoklubin yleisölle. https://www.facebook.com/Ikinaface/ https://www.instagram.com/ikinagram/ IKINÄ on: Katariina Sorsa (laulu), Tuuli Paju (laulu), Santeri Paju (rummut), Samuli Suokas (kitara), Lauri Hämäläinen (basso) SUM 41 are proud to announce their new album, 13 Voices, due out October 7th via Hopeless Records. The ten-track album marks the band's first LP in five years, following up 2011's Screaming Bloody Murder, which featured the Grammy Nominated song "Blood In My Eyes." On the album, frontman Deryck Whibley says, "I am really excited to be releasing an album after everything I've been through recently. This new music represents the journey I've been on throughout the process of making this record. I had to fall in order to rise, and nothing feels better than to have something you love that you had to really fight for. I can honestly say that 13 Voices saved my life and I cannot wait to share it with all of you." Whibley began writing for 13 Voices immediately following his four-month stint in the hospital. The frontman recalls, "I had to learn how to do everything again-my motor skills, learning how to play guitar again... I couldn't even walk at the time. It was really difficult, but at the same time if I didn't have a record to make, I don't think I would have recovered as quickly. Writing music gave me a purpose. I had to get better." As Whibley's health improved, so did his ability to write songs, and 13 Voices soon began to take shape. Recorded, produced and engineered by Deryck Whibley at his home in Los Angeles, 13 Voices is now ready to be released this Fall. Leading up to the album release, SUM 41 will hit the road this summer making their way across the US as part of the 2016 Warped Tour, beginning on June 22nd at the Road to Warped Tour in Anchorage, AK and wrapping on August 7th in Pomona, CA. This will mark the band's first album in five years, following up 2011's "Screaming Bloody Murder", which featured the Grammy Nominated song "Blood In My Eyes." The upcoming album was written, engineered and produced by lead vocalist / rhythm guitarist Deryck Whibley. On the signing, Whibley expressed his thoughts:- "It's crazy to think that we started this band 20 years ago and so much has happened, and it all happened really fast. When I look back at everything it still feels like it's all so recent. I think this a good thing because it still feels like there is still so much to do...which is why I am excited for a new album and to be releasing it with Hopeless Records." Sum 41, consisting of five members including Whibley, lead guitarist / backing vocalist Dave Baksh, co-lead guitarist / backing vocalist Tom Thacker, bassist / backing vocalist Jason McCaslin and drummer Frank Zummo, are excited about to join label mates and friends such as New Found Glory, The Used, Neck Deep, All Time Low and more. Averaging more than 300 live performances per year, SUM 41 will hit the road this summer making their way across the US as part of the 2016 Warped Tour, beginning on June 22nd at the Road to Warped Tour in Anchorage, AK and wrapping on August 7th in Pomona, CA. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased, here: http://vanswarpedtour.com/dates/. https://www.facebook.com/Sum41 Welcome Fickle Friends, one of the UK’s most exciting, bubbling bands – and what better way to introduce themselves than with ‘Swim’, both their inaugural single for new label home Polydor and the first track they ever released. Watch the video HERE The original demo of ‘Swim’ was casually dropped online at the start of 2014 without any expectations attached. A first taster of the band’s buoyant and unapologetically ‘80s-inspired indie-pop, it soon took on a life of its own and became the most blogged track by an unsigned act of 2014. The 2016 official release of ‘Swim’, co-produced by Charlie Hugall (Florence and The Machine, The Maccabees etc), sees the band come full circle but with added confidence and clarity of vision that could only have been crystalized following two years of road testing. In the time since the original release, Fickle Friends have seen a huge and ever growing following, both online and on stage, and a new home for their music, having signed with Polydor in early 2016. The band’s songs mix the bounce of Phoenix with the glossy sheen of Haim while ultimately remaining British synth-pop with heart, soul and intelligence. This is underpinned by often deceptively dark lyrics written by Natti, channelling classic themes such as unrequited love through the lens of the detachment and anxiety that can accompany life on the road. Not one to rest on their laurels, the Brighton-based 5 piece of Natti Shiner [vocals/synth] Chris Hall [guitar], Jack Wilson [keys], Harry Herrington [bass] and Sam Morris [drums]– have since become one of the UK’s hardest working bands. While still unsigned, the band managed to play over 53 festivals around the UK and Europe over the past 2 years, honing their live set to an impeccable standard and accumulating a dedicated following along the way. This was amply demonstrated when they capped off the year with a sold out show at London’s Dingwalls in October, continuing to prove that hard work really does pay off. http://www.facebook.com/FickleFriends |
